How can I access research databases from home?

To access databases from our website, click this link.  Alternately, from our homepage, www.queenslibrary.org, you would click on the "Research" tab and then select "Research Databases."

Customers must have a Queens Public Library card (regular or eCardand PIN to access our databases.

Queens Public Library has almost 50 databases. Use our databases to find:

  • Articles and Abstracts (Journal, Magazine, Newspaper)
  • Biographies
  • Business and consumer data
  • Company, industry, & financial reports
  • Diagnostics and repair procedures for automobiles and trucks
  • Encyclopedia entries
  • Facts and Viewpoints
  • Genealogical information
  • Grantmakers and their funding activities
  • Health information
  • Language learning programs
  • Literary criticism
  • Online courses in business, software, technology, & creative skills
  • Online tutoring
  • Polling data
  • Primary sources

You can browse our databases Alphabetically or by Category.  Once you find a database to search, click on Search Within Database. There are a few databases that cannot be searched from outside the library. They will be marked for "In-Library Use Only."

If you have questions about the database, click on HELP (located in different places on each database).  If you need additional assistance, please contact us at Ask-a-Librarian.
