Why am I being asked to verify my email address?
I don't like to give out my email for privacy reasons.
Answer
The library must be able to verify your email address in order for you to access online services, reset your PIN, and for the library to provide you with the best customer service.
That requires your account to accept the verification email. After that, you may opt out of further library email.
Be assured, the Library is serious about your privacy and has a very strict privacy policy.
If you prefer not to get your notifications (about overdue or requested items) by email, you can change that by going to your Account. Under your name, click Edit Account. Scroll down until you see Notification Preferences and then choose Communicate with me by phone.
