Am I able to use the Library’s Wi-Fi?

Answer

Yes.  You can access the library's Wi-Fi from inside the library during our open hours, as well as, from outside the library when we are closed.

  • You can connect to Wi-Fi service immediately inside and outside of every QPL branch.
  • Extended Wi-Fi service (up to 150 yards outside the branch) is available at Kew Gardens Hills and Peninsula.
  • A number of additional locations, also have extended Wi-Fi service: Arverne, Broad Channel, Elmhurst, Lefferts, Lefrak City, Poppenhusen, Queensboro Hill, Ridgewood, Rochdale Village, Rosedale, Seaside, South Hollis, South Ozone Park, Woodside, and Hunters Point.

To use the Library's Wi-Fi service, you must have a computer device that supports wireless access.  The name (SSID) of our wireless network is: QPL_Wi-Fi.  Note: The Library Wi-Fi is not secure and use of it is at your own risk.
