I'm looking for free passes to museums and other organizations. Is this something I can get through Culture Pass?
Answer
Culture Pass is a program for cardholding patrons 13 and older of Brooklyn Public Library, New York Public Library and Queens Public Library. Using your library card, New Yorkers can reserve a pass and get free admission to dozens of NYC cultural institutions, including museums, historical societies, heritage centers, public gardens and more.
Check out what's available right now. Click Reserve a Pass and choose Queens and then follow instructions on the site.
Many Culture Pass partners aren't ready yet to accept Culture Passes in person. Eventually, service will be restored to all the partner sites, but this will take some time due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the meantime, most partners are offering a wide and diverse range of virtual programming on their own websites. Even if you aren't able to visit a particular site with Culture Pass right now, see what they have to offer!
Please note: Culture Pass is available free of charge to people with an individual library card. However, they run this service independent of the library systems.
