How can I sign up for a library card?

Answer

You can sign up for a regular library card in-person at any one of our locations.  You will need to provide identification and proof of address.  Our staff will issue a new card to you, which you can begin to use right away.

Your library card is free, as long as you live, work, go to school, or own property in New York State.

Children 11 years old and younger must have a parent or guardian, who resides at the same address, sign for permission to get a library card.

If you are only interested in our digital resources, then you may want to sign up for our eCard.

For those who DON'T live, work, go to school, or own property in New York State, you can sign up for a Non-Resident card.

Read our Library Card Guidelines to learn about using your card.
